Fishing
All guests staying at either Holly Tree Lodge or Ashfield House are eligible to enjoy private fishing on the renowned River Wear which courses through the grounds of Shincliffe Hall Estate.
The waters upstream and downstream of the estate are leased by Durham Angling Club.
The fishing on the river within the estate is however totally private ensuring a peaceful experience for our guests.
Species - Barbel, Chub, Dace, Roach, Salmon, Brown Trout and Sea Trout.
